Lincoln Active Faith Network Update

Dear Church Leaders, I hope your summer is going well and you’re finding some time to relax before everything kicks back into gear in September!

As you may know, we have 6 subgroups in the Greater Lincoln Active Faith Network, all of whom have been meeting regularly to talk about the various areas of need within the churches and across the city and to ask the question “What can churches do to partner together, support each other but also to fill any gaps”. The Subgroups are:

  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Food Poverty
  • Inclusion
  • Homelessness & the Home
  • Children & Young People
  • Finance & Employment.

There are two subgroups that are really low in numbers and, therefore are struggling to move forward with discussions as we need a minimum of 8-10 people to make the groups work.

The two groups needing more people are:  Finance & Employment and Children & Young people. If you have anyone in your churches who have a passion for either of these areas – they may be involved with people in debt, helping people get back into work, have a passion to see people find value in their work, then we would love to invite them to our next Finance and Employment Subgroup. Likewise if you have anyone in your church who has a passion for families, children, youth – we would love to involved them in the Children and young people’s subgroup.

Please ask those in your congregations who may have an interest, and if they’re happy to be involved, please let me have their email addresses.

Many thanks
