Corona Virus Update 21-MAR-2020 – Closure of all Church Lettings.

The updates regarding what can and can’t be done due to Coronavirus are changing on a daily basis, and the Church has to stay vigilant and keep people safe while also being a beacon of hope and light in a dark place – it’s a fine balancing act.

The decision has been made that, as from Monday, none of our Church buildings can be open to outside lettings. All groups need to be informed that they can no longer meet on Church premises.

The exception to this is Foodbank and associated groups, which are providing a valuable service to our communities. However I would suggest that people are encouraged to spend as little time as possible visiting Foodbanks and that social distancing is observed.

CLT will be aware of the impact this will have on Church finances, but I would ask that you don’t be concerned about that at this time. We have to be more concerned about the health and wellbeing of all those who use our buildings.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am always available via email or ring the office between 9am and 1pm any morning next week.

We hope you can connect with worship tomorrow morning somehow, several churches are holding online services. I see that Cliff College are going to be broadcasting their morning prayers live as from Monday morning.

Corona virus info

Please find the link below for the latest information from the Methodist Church in relation to the Corona Virus situation, Covid-19.

There are resources to use at home, links to government information and live stream services.

It is with sadness that we recommend that worship services in Methodist Churches are suspended for the time being in line with Government guidance, therefore there are no services taking place in the Circuit.

Stones Place – Corona Advice

Stones Place as from midnight last night (12th March) has been put on full lock down. MHA head office has put all homes and live at home schemes on lock down.
We have no one ill at Stones Place but we cannot take the chance of the virus being brought into the building therefore only staff are allowed access. I will be taking all Sunday services until further notice. (MHA policy request)
I know the residents love all of the Ministers and preachers that give their time to our home.
I will keep you informed of our progress.
