2023: Faithwalker’s Itinerary

New Faithwalkers 2023/2024 walks

PLEASE ALWAYS FOLLOW THE COUNTRYSIDE CODE

New Year’s greetings 2023 to everyone from the New Faithwalkers walk leaders.
We have a varied programme of walks for the coming year.

We have walks on the 2nd Saturday of each month and also the 4th Saturday of the summer months, although this may vary a little so please read the programme carefully. We walk come rain or shine and have a healthy day out.

Please feel free to come and join us.

Please email the administrator Lettie Fortune – Lettiefortune@gmail.com – if you are going on a walk, by the Thursday prior to the walk if possible, and she will inform the walk leader(s). If you need to cancel at the last minute, please let the walk leader or another walker know.

Either meet at Burton Road Methodist Church at 9.30am on the day of the walk, or meet at the location; details will be shared the week before the walk is due to take place. If you require help with transport, please contact the administrator or the walk leader to arrange this.

It is important that you MUST dress appropriately for the occasion. We strongly recommend that suitable stout walking boots are worn, and that clothing be suitable for extremes of weather. (A change of footwear and a bag to put soiled footwear in is required out of courtesy if you are not travelling in your own vehicle).

You will need a packed lunch and plenty of drink to keep you hydrated even in the winter.

No dogs are allowed on the walks due to potential risks with livestock.

It would be courteous if you receive a lift to make a small contribution to the driver for the use of transport and towards the fuel used. We will leave this to your discretion.

With Covid present we encourage you to take care if sharing transport, ventilate vehicles where possible, and carry a face covering in case they are required for entering buildings and vehicles.

Please note that attendance on these walks is done entirely at your own risk and the organisers cannot be held responsible.

New Faithwalker’s is a new informal walking group that is no longer associated with the Methodist Church.
